MEMPHIS, Tenn.- Fresh Touch Publicity (FTP) has partnered with local PR firm Howell Marketing to assist with their 2nd Annual “Good Friday Food Drive” for the Mid-South Food Bank on March 29th. The campaign will include local churches to collect nonperishable canned goods to be picked up on Good Friday by Easy Way Produce delivery trucks. There will be a live food/funds drive on Good Friday at the Easy Way store on Mt. Moriah.
FTP’s Owner TJ Jefferson will handle the Social Media Campaign, which #MEMFOOD13 is the official hashtag for the event. Be sure to follow the hashtag and these twitter accounts: @MSouthFoodBank, @FreshTouchPub and @HowellMarketing.
The campaign began last year with Howell Marketing owner Amy Howell tweeting a series of tweets regarding donating to the Mid-South Food Bank. With her 30k plus Twitter followers, she was able to collect about $3000 in funds and a few pounds of food over a two-day period, without any planning. This year, Amy decided to actually plan it.
