MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Fresh Touch Publicity (FTP), an Atlanta-based public relations firm, has relocated to Memphis. The firm's founder, TJ Jefferson, listed the city’s growing recognition for its entrepreneur development and support as a primary reason for the move. Though FTP will be headquartered in Memphis, the company still will maintain client accounts in Atlanta and other cities.

Forbes Magazine ranked Memphis No. 11 as “Best Cities for Minority Entrepreneurs” in 2011. The magazine also ranked the city as the fourth “Happiest Cities for Job-Seeking College Grads” in 2012. The Blues-loving city is also the home of nationally known companies such as FedEx and International Paper and successful home-grown businesses, such as Neely’s barbecue restaurants.

In addition, the city also offers several programs for emerging entrepreneurs. Jefferson said programs like EmergeMemphis and LaunchMemphis not only mentor business startups and existing companies, but also have the potential to connect FTP with potential clients and other networking opportunities.

“I’ve always kept up with what’s going on around Memphis,” Jefferson said. “In the last couple of years, Memphis’ name has been increasingly mentioned around business circles and I feel this move puts us in direct proximity with the growing small businesses there. And since Fresh Touch doesn’t represent celebrities, Atlanta will not miss us.”

Jefferson, a Memphis native, started the company in 2011. As an outlet for the Tennessee State University graduate to integrate her creativity, background in journalism, love for people, and helpful nature, Fresh Touch Publicity offers traditional public relations, branding, marketing, graphic design, web site design and social media services.

Twice Media Productions Sign with FTP

HOUSTON- Twice Media Productions, LLC (TMP), a Houston-based multimedia company specializing in photography and video production, has signed on with Fresh Touch Publicity as a client. While Twice Media Productions is relatively new to the Houston area, the company isn’t new to the multimedia industry, with such top-name clients as Houston’s Defender Media Group and Nashville’s Freedom Forum Diversity Institute.

"As a new business owner, I recognized not only how important it was for my business to gain exposure, but also how difficult it was to do everything on my own,” said Tiffany Williams, owner of Twice Media Productions. "One of the reasons I chose Fresh Touch Publicity was their willingness to help. Before becoming a client, I asked a few questions about what one should look for when seeking PR representation. Without question or bias, I was given a prompt, thorough answer. To me, that said a lot about their work ethic and commitment to helping others succeed."

Twice Media Productions is taking clients seeking a videographer or photographer for their events such as weddings, product launches, business workshops, professional employee headshots or promotional videos for businesses. To book TMP, call 832.390.0559 or visit and fill out the online form. For press interviews, contact Fresh Touch Publicity at 404.913.2122.

ACCC to Present Stress Seminar to Salvation Army

ATLANTA – Agape’ Christian Counseling Center’s (ACCC) previous “How to Make Stress Work for You” seminar was such a hit that the Salvation Army has asked for it to be presented to its clients on Monday, August 6th. The location is 400 Luckie Street in Atlanta (across the street from the Luckie Lounge) and it begins at 6PM.

The previous seminar was facilitated by Ieshea Hartwell, who is the Executive Director of ACCC, and it was held at the Smyrna Community Center back in April. She gave biblical but practical tips such as writing down your favorite scripture and referencing it when stressful times arise. That event was sponsored by Favours Spa, who gave free 12-minute massages to the on-time attendees.

“I take these seminars very seriously,” Hartwell says. “I always hope to gain a positive response.”

KHIJO Rebrands with More Earth-friendly Additions

SAVANNAH, GA- In the midst of America’s health-consciousness, the owners of KHIJO, Khiara (Khi) Washington and Katy Jo Holton, are focused on making their all-natural, multi-use hair product more earth friendly. KHIJO contains natural beeswax and honey from Katy Jo’s Honeybee farm that uses solar power, lanolin and vitamin E. Either fragrance chosen, lavender and coconut, can be used for hair, skin and/or nail care.

KHIJO’s tagline, “Naturally You, Naturally Unifying” was created to unify people, by KHIJO’s ability to be used by all people, and because of the other natural components used in it. Sustainable ink is used on the current KHIJO labels and often recycled paper, too.

“We are using sustainable sources for honey and wax,” Katy Jo explains. “We also are trying to find new containers and packages that are all either sustainable sources, PIR, and/or U.S. made.”

In addition to the aforementioned, the owners of KHIJO are working on offering refill packagers as an option to their customers instead of having to receive a new jar for reorders.
